It is the purpose of the Communications Committee

“To enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of communication within St. Columba by encouraging the timely sharing of information that will help facilitate a welcoming environment for both new and current parishioners.”

The committee accomplishes this by:

• Making recommendations on ways to accomplish excellent communication using the tools at hand—weekly bulletin, newsletter, website, social media, etc.
• Working closely with parish staff to assist them in accomplishing their roles as it pertains to communications.
• Providing expertise and support in the evaluation of software and other tools to facilitate keeping our parishioners informed so that there is efficiency in communication tools.
• Developing a ‘branding’ for St. Columba publications to present a professional and consistent presence in printed material.
• Work closely with staff and Pastoral Council to coordinate The Welcome Center kiosk
• Working closely with Membership Committee to develop a welcoming process for our new parishioners that will help them feel at home and welcomed at St. Columba
