Our Pastor, Rev James E. Dane was born in Cincinnati Ohio and moved to Pensacola as a young child where he was raised.  In his former life Fr. Jim was a CPA but has long since stopped practicing.  He received his Seminary Education at St Mary's Seminary & University in Baltimore. Fr. Jim entered the Archdiocese of Mobile in 1981 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1983.  He began his Priestly ministry at St. Pius X in Mobile.  Following other parish assignments in the Mobile Archdiocese, Fr. Jim became the Director for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith.  In addition, Fr Jim was the Spiritual Director of Cursillo Movement, Chaplain for St Michael Catholic High School, and the Priest for St. Benedict Catholic School.  He comes to us from his last post at St. Thomas by the Sea in Orange Beach. 

Fr. Jim also helped with Ministry to persons with disabilities, regularly ate dinner with residents of Mary’s Shelter Gulf Coast, Home for pregnant homeless women and has taken 12 Mission Trips to Yucatan of Mexico with High School Students.  Father Jim has one outside interest which is that of an avid golfer, having won numerous tournaments.
